Jason L Mattia grew up in Keyport NJ where his music pursuit began at a very early age. It all started in 2nd grade with some piano lessons and a small acoustic guitar that he received as a gift from his grandmother. Although the music did spark a great interest, it did not take the front seat initially.

At the age of 11 music came back into the picture when a friend started taking guitar lessons at a local music store. Coming from a musical family the interest was always there so Jason began to take lessons as well, and this time music was here to stay. He studied privately at Keyport Music for several years, continuing his studies at The Village East Conservatory of Music as well as pursuing a Music Education degree.

Today Jason’s love for music isn't any less leading to the birth and growing success of Level One Music.

Now writing music in styles that range from pop, rock, hip hop r&b and electronica .With credits for artists / groups ranging from TV and Video games only time will tell what the future will hold.
